What a check-up may include
Depending on your needs, a dental visit may include discussion of symptoms and dental history, examination of teeth and gums, bite assessment, oral soft-tissue examination and imaging when clinically indicated.
When to arrange a review
Routine reviews can be useful even when you have no pain. A prompt assessment is especially important for persistent tooth pain, swelling, bleeding gums, broken teeth, sensitivity, changes in the mouth or concerns about a child’s dental development.
Prevention and treatment planning
The aim is not simply to find problems but to explain what is present, what can be monitored, what may need treatment and how home care and professional preventive measures can support oral health.
Connect the check-up to the right care
Depending on findings, patients may be referred into Preventive Dentistry, Gum Disease Treatment, Root Canal Treatment, Dental Implants or another appropriate treatment pathway.
Comfort and individual needs
Dental care is planned around the patient’s clinical condition, medical history, preferences and treatment needs. A check-up does not automatically mean that treatment is required.
