Why screening helps
A clinical examination can assess the location, duration, appearance and risk factors and determine whether monitoring, treatment or further investigation is appropriate.
Do not rely on photographs alone
A photograph cannot replace examination. If a lesion persists or changes, arrange an in-person dental assessment.
Prompt assessment
Rapidly enlarging swelling, significant bleeding, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or severe systemic symptoms require urgent medical attention.
